Keeping up with the Kolour It Up Challenge (I just realized I’ve been spelling it wrong for the past 6 days!!) and it is now Day 7!!! I’m quite pleased with myself that I have managed to steal enough time each time to head into my craft studio and find a little creative playtime.
Given that it is the weekend, I thought I would use another stamp I haven’t used yet, but have been wanting to: Buffy Bingewatcher. Buffy is a new, released in May and she has been sitting, staring at me, saying, “play with me! play with me!” So today I did!
I used my Silhoutte Cameo to cut out the filmstrip diecut to put behind Buffy. I also used my Big Kick machine and my Your Next Die rectangular stitched die to cut out two backdrops in red and yellow textured paper from Forever in Time Textura Bold papers. I then cut another backdrop from Carta Bella Circus Paper with a popcorn motif that I had.
I coloured Buffy with my Spectrum Noirs and a few Copic markers and added some highlights with Gelly Roll metallic pens. I decided to fussy cut her and cut out the chocolate bar, popcorn pieces and her shoes so that they would sit on the wooden floor that I added under Buffy made with MME paper from the Necessities Wood Designer 6×6 Pad and I cut a “blanket” out of DCWV Gauze 6×6 paper pad.
The final addition was the red, yellow and black bakers twine that I added.
Time to go watch some TV!!
