Another day, another creation…
Today I used one of the latest Kraftin’ Kimmie released stamps, Melinda Mermaid. She is quite the saucy little mermaid and I love the sentiments that came with her. The one I chose to use was just so appropriate…if you know me, you know why! LOL!
I used papers from DCMV’s The Shimmer Stack collection and I used my Big Kick and an embossing folder from Ultimate Crafts Layer Upon Layer Haviera Collection to create the mermaid scale looking background. I also created the diecut waves.
I stamped Melinda using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured her in with my Spectrum Noir markers and used a few Copics for her skin.
Anchor: IG2, IG4
Tail: GT1, BT2, BT3, 1G1, Gelly Roll 729
Vest, Hat, Bow: PP3, PP5
Eyes: BT6, IG2m Gelly Roll 50, Silver 700, Green729
Hair: EB1, EB2, GB1, TN1, Gelly Roll 703
Skin: FS6, Copic Ell, E00
I added some Gelly Roll metallic pens: Green #729 for her tail and eyelids, Silver #700 on her eyelids and Gold #703 in her hair.
I used foam mount to pop up Melinda as well as the sentiment stamp that I diecut out as well.
I tied the bakers twine around the middle of the card and added a ship’s wheel charm. I also punched a hole in the top of the anchor and tied twine in there too.
And that’s one saucy little wench ready to go!!
