Kraftin’ Kimmie launched a new challenge for all her Krafty Kirlfriends today….
To get us all to try to find a little bit of time for ourselves every day, to carve out that time to be creative and crafty, that time that we all crave so much and usually just don’t make time for, Kim challenged us to Colour It Up just a bit every day this month.
Starting today, July 8th and going through until the end of July, we have to colour one image and post it on her Facebook page. It can be a completely done item like a card, or layout or tag or other creative element…or just one stamped and coloured in Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp image (has to be a KKS image). There’s a chance to showcase the fun we are having being creative and win some great prizes and maybe even a guest spot on her design team!
Kim has done such a great job of creating a wonderful community of sharing at her Kraftin’ Kimmie Facebook page; I decided that I would try and jump right in and play along!
Today, I made a baby shower card using the Baby Love stamp.
I stamped the images on Spectrum Noir paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut them out. I then edged the words with Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass. I used my Spectrum Noir markers in IB2 and BT3 to colour in the pram and added the CT3 (yellow) for the stars as well. I also used my Sakura Gelly Roll #700 on the stars and pram edging to add a touch of glitter. I used my Your Next Die square stitched die on the cover of the card and the rectangular stitched dies inside. I used foam mounting squares to add dimension when I glued all the images onto the card and the square frame onto the front cover. I added Your Next Stamp gumdrops on the front cover. The final touch was the ribbon.
That’s my first Colour It Up challenge card done!
