I found the time to make two cards today!
Both have a friend theme, which wasn’t planned, but just how it seemed to go.
I decided to use another Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp that I haven’t used yet, Loretta Laundry. Again, she has been on my list to play with, but I didn’t have any particular ideas floating around for her.
I had another stamp from My Favorite Things – Anything but Basic Friendship that I thought would work perfectly with Loretta.
Today, I coloured Loretta first, using my Spectrum Noir markers today and then I chose the papers for the card. And I used a lot of colours! I added my Gelly Roll white pen #50 in for the cat’s white fur.
I selected papers from My Mind’s Eye Simply Delightful collection and the heart paper is from a 6×6 pad of paper from Project Life called Sweet Life.
I edged the sentiments and the white card base in Distress Inks Oxide Cracked Pistachio ink.
I foam mounted Loretta as well as all the sentiments.
I added some black Your Next Stamps gumdrops in the corners to finish the card.
The next card I did used the Beautiful Blooms stamp from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. I added the Friend stamp from MFS again and chose a different tagline. It comes with about 20 different ones that are awesome!
I stamped the sentiment and the flowers on shimmer paper in colours that matched the Kraftin’ Kimmie Hybrid inks that were released this spring — Lovely Lagoon and Raspberry Rose. I stamped the white base card with the two rose stamps and the one leaf image. I then white heat embossed the pink shimmer diecut layer card with the rose images, stems and leaves. In addition, I stamped additional leaves out of the green shimmer paper, fussy cut them and foam mounted them on to the pink card. The pink card was then foam mounted onto the base card.
Next, I fussy cut the Friend sentiment card and foam mounted it, adding two extra leaves that had been heat embossed in white.
I added a green sheer ribbon at the top to finish the card.
Now I have two beautiful cards to send to my wonderful friends sometime in the future!
