Day 3 of Sneak Peeks…Awesome Possums!

It’s Day 3 of Kraftin’ Kimmie Sneak peeks and there are a bunch of little cuties hanging around today! Well, the whole week has been cuteness overload, but today these Awesome Possums by artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen just can’t help but make you smile.

I decided I would make a happy inspirational card and what better paper to use than Doodlebugs Designs Buffalo Check-Wood Grain in the fabulous Rainbow Petite Prints. I used the 12 x 12 size and chose to use the colour that matched the new Aqua Adventure Kraftin’ Kimmie Kolour ink that we released this week. I created a slimline base card out of cardstock and cut a slightly smaller rectangle in the woodgrain paper to fit the base. I edged the white base with the Aqua Adventure and Granite Gray ink using a blender brush. Then I taped down the paper to the base.

Next, I used my Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Diecutting System and cut out the next paper layer using the matching buffalo print. I glued that layer down.

I decided which little awesome possums I would use — tough choice, they are all so cute! I stamped them using my Kraftin’ Kimmie Colours Wicked Black hybrid ink and coloured them using my Copic markers: R20, R000, N0, N1, N2, N3, E89, G94, G99 & E40.

I decided to pop up the little guys using foam dots to add some dimension. I die cut some tags to stamp my sentiments from the set onto, again using my Wicked Black ink. I popped them into place.

The final touch was adding some Stickles in Stardust around the edge of the top layer to add some glitter and a couple of Underwater Dots from Kraftin’ Kimmie.

One awesome card ready to share some sweet, inspirational messages.
