It’s the second month of 2021 already and I’m so excited; and not just because the winter months of this time tough seem to be flying by. I am one of Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps’ Guest Designers this month!! Whoo hoo!
It was such an honour to be selected and I even cleaned and reorganized my craft studio to be prepared for the many tasks I have on my krafty kalendar this month.
I decided to kick off my month with a little card to say hello to my crafting sisters at my second home, the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Krafty Friends! on Facebook.
I started with a basic 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ cardstock base. I cut a square of the same size from Echo Park’s Valentine’s Dots & Stripes 6×6 paper pad and used Scrapbook Adhesives Tape Runner to attach it to the base.
Next, I used my Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Happy Hearts Stencil and ran it through my Big Kick embossing machine with Micheals Recollections red foil paper to create a smaller 4-1/16″ x 4-1/16″ square. I really like the subtle effect of using the stencil on the foil.
Next, I created a hello tag using my Silhouette machine and the Birthdaybrush Script Font and the Offset feature. I used AC Cardstock in Crimson and White to create the layered tag and Art Glitter Glue to adhere the two layers.
I used a Doodlebug mini cupcake doily in pink and cut out a scalloped second layer using a Stampin’ Up punch and more of the Echo Park Valentine’s Dots & Stripes paper, this time in dots.
For my wonderful little hedgehog, I used the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Happy Hedgehogs stamp set and stamped my little lady with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Krafty Kolours in Wicked Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured her using my Copic markers. I used a combination of E42, E43, E49, E53, E55, E57, E59 on the hedgehog and R21, R22, R29, R32, R35, R56 on the flowers. I also used a Prismacolor pencil in white to add some finishing detail to my little lady. I then fussy cut her and popped her up on the centre of the card using Scrapbook Adhesive foam dots.
I added a sentiment from the stamp set using my Your Next Die Fishtail Die set and my Wicked Black ink. I edged the banner with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Hybrid Inks in Crisp Crimson and Raspberry Rose.
The final touch was adding in some Studio Katia crystals in Sparkling, Iridescent, Rouge Pink and Lipstick Red. I used a Darice Crystal Glue Pen to adhere them to the centre of the flowers and in a few other places.
I’m so pleased with how this pretty little card turned out. It would make a great Galentine card or just a fun friendship card for anytime of the year!
Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me today!
