Today is Day 5 of the Colour It Up Challenge and I decided to tackle another design I’ve been thinking about for quite awhile….
There is this adorable little monkey stamp called Monkey Business that Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps launched some time ago now that I haven’t used, but I’ve have had this idea floating around in my head. That whole not my circus, not my monkeys theme. I found these amazing little charms that were perfect to go with it about a year ago. And then at Scrapfest this year in Kitchener, I found this perfect paper that matched the whole theme: Circus Party by Carta Bella. I knew it was just meant to go with this whole idea. So I set it aside for when I finally got around to putting it all together.
This challenge is so awesome for getting me into my craft studio each day and just designing! I’m loving it!!
I layered the two types of Circus Party paper and cut out one of the sayings banners on a third sheet to add with foam mounts.
I coloured in my monkeys with my Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut them and then mounted them with foam mounts as well.
Fur: BG4, BG5, BG6
Mouth: Copic E04, E11, SN-EB1
Shirt & Shorts: DR3, BT9
Banana: CT3, EB1
I used bakers twine in red and black and then added the 3 charms along the twine.
I think I might just put this card up in my office where I can see it every day!
