Adding Some Sass!

I was busy as a bee today, getting creative in my craft studio again.

It was Day 11 of the Kolour It Up Challenge and I actually got two cards done today.

First, I used another stamp I haven’t worked with before: Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Sassy Sophie, a brand new June release. And she is one saucy little girl!

I created a scene for Sophie that had her enjoying a ride in the countryside. I used my Silhoutte Cameo to cut out a car for her and created a background scene with rolling hills and trees, and a country road.

I used my Big Kick to diecut clouds. Next I used my Color Factory Brick Wall stencil and Distress Ink Oxide in Fired Brick to create the brick wall. I stencilled it directly onto another piece of the Paper 7 Dots Studio Love Is In The Air paper that I chose to go on my card background. I pop dotted it to create dimension.

I stamped Sophie with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Spectrum Noir and Copic markers and added glitter highlights with my Gelly Roll pens.

I also added Glossy Accent highlights to the coke bottle and the face of the gas tank.

I pop dotted Sophie to add dimension as well. Then I stamped and pop dotted the sentiment and embellished it with some gumdrops.

Sophie is ready for her day in the countryside!

Sweet little bees to tell a friend how lucky I feel that they are my friend

My second card used the Sweet as Can Be stamp set from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps which was also released in June. I just love these little bees. They can be used in so many ways and places.

I used Distress Inks in Tea Dye, and Antique Linen with a touch of the new KKS Hybrid Ink Yummy Yellow thrown in to create the background. I then found this awesome paper from BoBunny’s Star-Crossed Collection. It was perfect!

I used my Big Kick to diecut the heart and added a ribbon to the bottom of the backdrop, pop dotted my little bees on as well as the sentiment and just added a yellow ribbon.

One fast little card for a special friend!

A Dream of a Release Day at Kraftin’ Kimmie!!!

Woohoo! It’s here! It’s here!!

Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is celebrating the amazing release of ALL of the NEW January Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!!!

If you have been following along with the release this week, there have been some pretty incredible new stamps released. Kimmie and her Designers have really done a fantastic job. I just love the entire launch and ALL FIVE new sets are NOW available in Kimmie’s Krafty Shop!

Today, you can have a big happy hop around the design team blogs and check them all out in action! Grab a nice hot beverage, sit back and relax as you hop around and enjoy all the amazing creations!! You really do have to go take a look…the stamps and the creations the Design team have been showing this week have been absolutely wonderful.

I’ve used Stacey Slapshot to create a motivational card to show you today.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a label I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and used my Spectrum Noirs to colour her in. I edged the label with Ranger Distress Inks in Dusty Concord and Antique Linen. I added Ranger Glossy Accents on the visor to give it a sheen.

Next, I used the embossing folder that was included in the Winter Krafty Kit, Snowflake from Carta Bella in my Big Kick machine. I also used a Darice Embossing Essentials folder, Stars Assorted. I used AC Cardstock in Winter selecting a purple shade. I then painted Recollections Glitter paint on both of these. I layered paper from BoBunny’s Altitude Collection between the two embossed layers. When I added the stamped image label on, I used pop dots to bump her up. I also added a hockey puck border that I cut out with my Silhouette. I also created the Dream & Do It! title on my Silhouette.

I used the sentiment stamp and VersaFine ink on vellum paper which I layered over the BoBunny paper and then used vellum glue to adhere it to the card. I used the pop dots to raise it up as well. I tied twine in teal, lilac and purple on the fold and finished the front of the card with two Kaiser lilac rhinestones that came in the Krafty Kit.

I also finished the inside of the card.

Yes, there is a celebration going on!! As Kimmie is saying…Woot, woot! It’s time to start the PARTY!!!

Welcome to Day ONE of the first release of 2018 at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

I’m so excited to be part of the fun as a Guest Design Team Member. And today we’re kickin’ off the party with an amazing winter set by artist, Annie Rodrigue! It’s called STACEY SLAPSHOT!!!

This was the Super Secret stamp set that was included in the Winter Krafty Kard Kit!!! Those who preordered it already have it in their inky little fingers and you’ll get to see their creations today and on release day!

This strong girl stamp set comes with one large main image and FIVE awesome sentiments!!

Here’s my take on this fabulous new stamp…well, I’ve actually played with it 3 times already!!

First up, I started with using the stamp as it was designed, using my Spectrum Noirs to colour it in, adding papers included in the kit from Pink & Main called Frosty and some from BoBunny called Altitude.

I used my Ranger Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers to add colour to the backdrop. I then added the hockey cutout embellishments using my Silhoutte Cameo. I added some Liquid Applique snow from Marvy to which I added some DecoArt Glamour Dust Sprinkle-On Glitter in Crystal. It is just so cool how that snow puffs up when you heat it up. I never stop being amazed by that process! I also added some bling on the skates with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen in #700. I coloured in the hockey stick with my Pigma Micron pens in black and my Zig Millenium pens in Price Blue and Red. This is what the inside looks like.

I adapted Stacey the hockey player to become a ringette player and created a thank you card for a client — the Ontario Ringette Association. I recently worked with them and members from their teams that played on the Canadian National Team at the World Championships and I thought this would make a great thank you card!! I used one of the neat little metal skate embellishments that Kimmie had included in the kit.

Here’s the inside of the card; I used the note circle to replicate the ringette ring.

My third card is a very simple card that I turned into a boy for a birthday card. I think I had the stamp all of 5 hours when I turned this one around in about 20 minutes for a dear little boy’s birthday party that night!
