Today is the second day of the Colour It Up Challenge over at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, http://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com/ and I wanted to make sure I took the time to get krafty.
Today I played with a long retired stamp that I have been wanting to create with for quite awhile.
I’m not even sure of the name of this stamp, but I think it’s awesome and I paired it with another sentiment stamp I have because I thought it just made such a great fun card.
I layered various papers I had including a pink vellum and cut out my stamping square with my Big Kick using My Next Die rectangular stitched die before colouring in the image.
I used my Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the image and added in some Jelly Roll sparkle pens on the top of the chocolates for colour sprinkles.
I used Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Antique Linen and Spun Sugar to add colour to the edge of the stamped image, the embossed layer and the sentiment image cards. I added the sentiment cards with foam dots to add a layer of dimension.
My final step was to add a ribbon to add to the “boudoir” feel of the card.
And that is Day 2 of the Challenge! I’m having fun carving out this crafty time. Can I keep this up???
