This past week, the challenge at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps was Hearts & Love and I decided to jump in wholeheartedly…hee hee hee!
Given the time of year, leading up to Valentine’s Day and because I had several projects on my krafty table, I put together four love-inspired items.
First up was a layout from a trip to Vegas and it definitely had an overtone of love to it…it’s when my husband and I got engaged six years ago!
I used some silver cardstock because I thought it was appropriate for the glitz of Vegas and then I painted two wood accents and the filmstrip along the silver as well. I used my Silhoutte Cameo to cut out the title and numbers. I then handwrote the top 10 highlights of our trip in the spaces. I added little sparkly camera embellishments in the bottom corners and some jewels on the corner of pictures. And I used Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Love Story Sentiments with VersaFine black ink and Ranger Distress Inks in Festive Berries and Antique Linen.
My next project was a special card that I was creating for a dear friend who had gotten married.
I used Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Let’s Celebrate with Spectrum Noirs. I fussy cut them and placed them on the card I die cut with my Silhoutte Cameo. In behind the LOVE, I placed sparkly red glitter paper to make the letters pop! A couple of jewelled embellishments in the corners and a perfect card for a perfect couple in love!
For my third and fourth cards, I used Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps (KKS) that are retired, part of the goddess series…I love these stamps! I always look for different ways to use them. I combined them again with the KKS Love Story Sentiments on cards I cut out with my Silhoutte Cameo.
Each a little bit different, but each with a note of love. Enjoy!
